Sea Life Malaysia: Interactively Melentur Buluh daripada Rebung

The 3-months long MCO was really stressing for everyone. For kids, that still got the energy and adrenaline kicking every day - it was million times harder.

Naturally, when the RMCO was finally announced, it was a huge relief. What better way to bring the kids in the scorching heat season in Malaysia, than to bring them to the tranquility of the marine life. Here come the latest attraction in Legoland Resort - the Sea Life Aquarium.

Started its construction 2 years ago, it finally opened its doors to the public on 28th June 2019. It was unfortunate for them, the MCO interruption came to them just 9 months into the operation.

Touching the starfish. Fully clean the hand beforehand is a must.

The location of the aquarium is just in front of the Legoland theme park - at The Beginning section. Orginally when the construction started, I kind of hate that they have to strip down the original Legoland arch. But they did a great job with the landscape when the buildings completed.

Kids really love the digital interactive games.

With the 'Educators'

We're greeted by the friendly 'Aquarium Instructors' from the beginning. Unlike other aquariums that I had been, Sea Life Malaysia marketed itself an an educational marine life aquarium.

There are the  'Educators' placed strategically throughout the aquariums for marine life guidance. Some life-experiencing with the marine life for better understanding. And also, lastly the extensive digital interactive games along the hallway.

In short, this aquarium is purposely built for kids.

Interactively cleaning the sea.

I've got mixed opinion about Sea Life Malaysia.

You can feel the enthusiastic vibe once you stepped in the doorway. Most probably because it is still new, every attraction in the aquarium still feels fresh. The digital interactive really differentiate Sea Life compared to others. For the kids, it'll be the best experience for them to learn the safe way how to protect the marine life.

The colored fish will 'swim' from the small tablet to the big screen.

On the other hand, the ticket price does seem steep. The price starts from RM69 for the kids and seniors. For adults, it'll be RM89. Compared to the other aquariums that I had been (Osaka, Singapore, Langkawi), Sea Life Malaysia is the smallest one. The ticket price suggest otherwise.

Fascinating jellyfish.

Also with the Covid-19 pandemic, the aquarium may be in a disadvantages. Physical distancing at the hallway may be proved to be difficult. In some cases, Sea Life may have to limit the visitors inside the aquarium.

All things considered, I do recommend the Sea Life to families especially for young kids. They'll able to learn new things about the marine life excitingly. Nothing beats inputs from the young age.

That evening, we've managed to complete admiring the marine life for 2 hours. And after that the kids raced to the Legoland theme park. Kids. Never ending energy.
