Darwisyah's Nuri Sports Day 2018: All the Small Things

The older she get, the better I get the insight of Darwisyah's personality as it developed. Never to back down from any challenges, she have been the most competitive girl that I have ever met (her mother aside). When she is together with her brother Haziq, hell always break loose. Either it'll be Haziq that be the teaser, Darwisyah will instead took the role.

It was during the Darwisyah's Nuri Sport that shined a different side of their relationship.

The event have been organized in the Educity Stadium in the Nusajaya. The large venue is required to cater for all the Nuri's 21 branches kids together with their families.

There are 4 sport houses: The Water Tribe,The Wind Clan, The Earth Lords, and the Fire Nation. Most probably they took some inspiration from a cartoon somewhere...

We were The Water Tribe, wearing the blue T shirt.

I told them was to hold hands and walk by themselves. Throughout the challenges, I ask Haziq to guide Darwisyah. Together they went with their small steps with me tailing them.

There were altogether 12 games for the event. For every challenge, there is a booth for each of them. While most of them were individually catered for the kids, unfortunately there were also some that the parents have some action in them too.

While we were chasing all these 12 game booths, the kids were also required to find 4 (not so) secret locations. Collecting stamps at these locations would get you 1 point, so it'll be a total 4 easy points.

Initially, I considered we were lucky since that morning there were clouds blocking the sun. After running around, I could already felt the sweat trickling down my back. Glancing at my watch, I'm surprised that we had only spent 45 minutes on the field. Guess the heatwave still got to us.

With Haziq is holding Darwisyah's hand, he tried as much as possible to guide her to get full marks for each game. The full mark would be 3 point, while doing the bare minimum would get you only 1 point. After each game, the kid would get a stamp.

I could see that while Darwisyah is trying her hardest, it is hard not to notice that she is also hard headed at times. Frustrated when she failed, but arguing a lot with her brother when being told off.

 Nasib baikla abang dia sabar...

At last after completing all the games, Darwisyah got herself a gold medal. She didn't got much points, though. From the total 40 points, we just managed to get 27. That doesn't really helped Water Tribe much as it collapsed to the bottom list.

But then again, that is not the whole picture. I got to see the brotherly love and we did have fun laughing around. That is all that matters.
