Desaru Adventure Waterpark: Beware of the Kraken

Pantai Desaru have been developed throughout the years as the beach-get-away tourist spot. In the last decade, the Senai-Desaru highway have been the catalyst to further driven the development of the Desaru Coast, a premium integrated resort. They have a water park that perfect for a family getaway - the Desaru Adventure Waterpark.

With the pandemic's end nowhere in sight, they have went a lot of way to promote their waterpark.

The Adventure Waterpark have put all stops to create the best facade for the water park. They have this magnificent waterfall - Penawar Waterfall landscape right in the entrance. Just beside the waterfall, they have the Swinging Ship.

Step to the right junction and you'll be greeted by the Kids Ahoy section. In my opinion, this may be one of the best kid's water park attraction that I have ever seen. Instead of having one large playing area, they have three large integrated playing areas.

Bringing little kids to this waterpark will be worth it.

The Surf Wall Here is just on the side corner of the Kids Ahoy. Here you can can tap into your surfing talents (if you have any). Surprisingly, Haziq got a knack with the surf board. He managed to maintain his composure for the whole time.

Now, it'll be the time to step to the left junction at the entrance. This will the place that the adults will enjoy the most.

The 1st sight that will be welcoming the visitors will be the two huge water slides - The RipTide and The Tempest. Both will have us ride on a 4-person buoy.

Haziq rides both the most. While we don't have to carry out the buoy up until the top, walking the stairs to the top is still quite a feat.

The same can't be said about the another 2 slides in the further front - the Wild Whirl and the Super Twister. We have to double the effort to get to the top - this time we have to bring the buoy ourselves up to the top.

The Penawar River is the best to get a relaxing cruise. The lazy river's flow was great. The water was clear. It goes looping through the giant water slides, complete with the riverbank greenery and riverside fishing village scene.

The Kraken's Revenge was the last ride that we've had in the waterpark. This ride is the combination of a roller coater and a splashing flume.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience for me and Haziq. The queue will take unbelievably long time. It'll have to temporary stop when it's raining or even drizzle due to safety purpose.

While for the passerby the splash looks great, the ride doesn't felt that way. The roller coaster's drop doesn't deliver the necessary G-force, and you're doesn't really get wet from the end splash. Push this ride to the end of your day in the waterpark will be the best.

Note about the Tidal Wave Beach. Unfortunately when we got there, it was close. The floor bed  got damaged during the long MCO. They have to drain it out and do the repair job.

Oh well, we've came here with just paying half of the original ticket price.
