Sub 65 and only now My Year Officially Started
I found that entering this new year of 2015 is to be very challenging. And I'm emphasized of the VERY and CHALLENGING. God, this is hard. This is the hardest challenge that I have been until my body is literally collapsing.
The Great.
It was an experience like no other being in the labor room with Dahlia during the delivery of my second child. While I don't have the opportunity to do that with my time with Haziq, we chose to do that in this second time. And I don't regret taking this decision. Looking up close the delivery, makes me appreciate my life more.
She does have the beautiful eyes not unlike her mother that I love to gave every time I went back after work. It does provide some distraction from all the chaos in the office and the sleepless nights (will have to bear for another 12 months). Welcome to this family, Nur Darwisyah.
The Bad.
It's weird that this year will be remembered as the worst season of dengue fever in Malaysia. And know what, I felt it because two person that are close to me being infected by it.
I had dengue fever back in 2010 and it was the worst experience ever. Being hospitalized for almost two weeks with the high fever of 39 C is the worst. I was being delirious for most of the time and not surprisingly I had some memories lost in the moment.
So when Haziq was being in high fever for a couple of days, I immediately had him checked. It was confirmed the dengue fever and fortunately being a five year old, his body is made out of rubber. After being hospitalized for four days, he quickly rebounded into his usual self. While I took another two weeks after being discharged to being myself back he only took two days.
While the thought of a five years old being in the dengue was bad enough, it was my mother's turn two weeks later. Worse, after the treatment for the fever, her hand had been infected after a botched blood line at the hospital. The good thing was that she had been treated at the hospital where my sister is working as a doctor so we got some preferable services in the public hospital.
So I was just one month in the year 2015 and I already used 2 times of my compassionate leave.
The Worst (Best?).
So I had the best moment in life with the arrival of Darwisyah.
And also I had the bad moment when two person close to me had the dengue fever.
The worst part? My body literally started to crumbling down. After weeks of abuse of lack of sleep during the delivery, the days in the hospital with Haziq and my mother, and of course the stress at work, it all just collapsed.
After the CNY, it was not all going normal for my body. Feeling some out of ordinary exhaustion, I got some worries because it felt like I'm going into fever but my temperature is quite normal. By the weekend it got worse. Much worse.
But night time, I got Rosman to check myself into the hospital. Got my blood and urine checked out and spent the night in the hospital with a saline line inserted into my system.
The good news is that I checked out OK. No dengue fever or whatever.
The better news is that after the full night in the hospital, I recovered immediately. It was just a case of full exhaustion.
The best news - drum roll please...... I managed to to reduce my weight sub 65kg. I only weighted 63.4kg during the check-in at the hospital. After months trying my butts off by reducing my portion of my meals in half, suddenly it shows the result.
I'm just not sure that I really want to end up the in hospital with this result though....
After some consideration, I'm sure that with the reduction of my weight have some hands into my exhaustion. All those works in the couple of months requires energy, but my body just couldn't keep up if it also burns itself out.
Oh well, with the year 2015 just ushered into the goat's year and I'm also recently being turned 34, I just hope that it will not turn up too BAAAD this year.
My year just officially started. Race start!
