The Week of Changed Perspective
It was not the lovable week that I had expected to be last week. In the week that both Lia and Haziq were having their holidays, it should be a smooth ride for me. I was expecting to run a few miles and maybe have a day sight seeing with both them.
Instead, I was sick the whole week. Earlier I thought I was having a fever because I felt sore the whole body. The temperature didn't rise but I was feeling dizzy the whole week. The worse was on Wednesday when we have visitors coming to the factory. I had to do a small introduction during the factory tour.
I quick visit to the doctor confirmed that it was a virus infection because my white blood cell increased. At least it was not the dengue fever - the symptoms does mirrors what I had experienced 4 years ago.
So how did I got this sick within a few days time? I was as strong as the ox last week. My suspicion was the MPJB Run that I had at the beginning of the school holidays had taken a toll. I had run under the hot sun for 7km straight before the drink stop.
I came to a new perspective for my future runs. Since I already set my sight on the distance more than 10km, I can't rely with my current gear to fight the fatigue of the runs.

What I need after this is the hydration running belt. I can strap two to four water packs together with me. I don't even have to rely of the drink stops to quench my thirst.
It is funny the world of football. It drive the fans crazy. One week after a win every pundits will sing praises of the team. Ironically if the team lose the next week, the same people will spell doom to the team.
Out of the blue Anip sent the challenging message of Arsenal total failures when playing to Chelsea under Mourinho that something struck me up. If Anip wished to rile me up, he had chose the wrong person. Since I found that I couldn't care less about Arsenal compared to 10 years ago.
I became a Gunners since 1997 during the honeymoon year of Form 4. We had this prep class during the night but study we were not. I would go to Azim's class and we all would had our banters and games until it was time. Almost everyone was a Red Devil. Decided to be completely niche, I decided to choose Arsenal with the influence of Allahyarham Kuchek.

It was great when Arsenal did won the EPL and the FA cup that year. My banters with friends continued when I got to UTM. At the uni, the best memories was during the night matches especially between rival teams. We would camped at the mamak restaurants have the giant screen hurling abuses when our team scores.
It changed a lot after since then.
I still passionate about football, watching Arsenal matches if I have the chance. But it becoming harder when they keep losing in the big games. Right now, I just don't bother to wake up to watch the early morning games anymore. Lia always teased me every time I watch the games.
"Ala... Tak payah tengokla. Arsenal selalu kalah je."
I think the main reason why I already lose some of the passion is that I don't have the crowd anymore. A wise man did say:
So at the weekend I managed to bring Lia and Haziq to the JB city. I managed to shook off the sickness on Saturday. It was a reasonably long day, that and the end of it we were all exhausted back at home.

As for Arsenal and Chelsea - Arsenal did lose embarrassingly again 5-0 to Chelsea. Another reason for me to just go to sleep instead of watching the games. But in my opinion, after Chelsea and Man City drop points the later game, I hope the dark horse team Liverpool will win the EPL.
It will be fun to see the Kopites jumping around after winning the EPL for the first time after last won the League more than two decades ago.
The funniest joke in EPL goes to Man U. Clueless and rudderless. RVP who?
How times change......
