Happy Mother's Day

Today, Haziq's nursery have organized Mother's Day celebration with the kids & mothers. So early in the morning Dahlia & Haziq went to Nuri Pasir Gudang. Haziq was quite perplexed when we arrived. He's not quite keen on going to the nursery. Maybe this plays into his mind,

"Aik, hari ni kan cuti, kenapa pergi sekolah lagi?"

Kenapala nak kena datang school hari ni?

There are many activities. As usual, Haziq is known for his manja approach, rejecting gestures that involves closing his eyes & apart from his mother.

Tak nak jauh dari umi!!!

Orang lain semua tutup matala Haziq, mana adil?

Peace!!!

They were dancing. Dahlia even got a trophy for 'mother & child look-a-like' competition.

Dancing to Gangnam Style

Trophy to the cutest mother-kid look-a-like eva, dawg!
Both of them is enjoying it. Dahlia even got a card from Haziq.

Saya Sayang Umi

Haziq poyo as usual while his umi cute as always.

Even with all the enjoyment, there is still some resentment from some of the so called 'ustaz' in Malaysia regarding Mother's Day.

Misconception by the so called bijak pandai

Here's the problem. Mothering Sunday & Mother's Day is two DIFFERENT thing.

Mothering Sunday is a Christian holiday celebrated throughout Europe that falls on the 4th Sunday in Lent.

History

During the sixteenth century, people returned to their mother church, the main church or cathedral of the area, for a service to be held on Laetare Sunday. This was either a large local church, or more often the nearest Cathedral.

Mother's Day is a celebration honoring mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.

History

First attempts to establish a holiday

The first attempts to establish a "Mother's Day" in the United States came from women's peace groups.[2] A common early activity was the meeting of groups of mothers whose sons had fought or died on opposite sides of the American Civil War.
In 1868, Ann Jarvis – mother of Anna Jarvis – created a committee to establish a "Mother's Friendship Day", the purpose of which was "to reunite families that had been divided during the Civil War."

And I had worked it out by just checking in 2, 3 clicks in the net.

Did I visit the church today to celebrate Mother's Day? NO!
Did I celebrate it in Lent? NO!

So where is the similarities that the so bijak pandai is saying?

Even though in the UK, the Mother's Day is indeed the same celebration, it is not the case with the other countries. Even though most of the countries celebrate it in the 2nd Sunday of May, but there are also some countries that even celebrate it November or December!

My point is, please don't believe everything that people say nowadays even though they claim that they are some bijak pandai. There are a lot of people that wears mask as politician, religious people, lecturers that bent on deceiving and confusing people.

Don't be a sheep.
